Job Description Job Overview The Alternatives to Incarceration
program is part of the Los Angeles County-wide pilot initiative to
re-imagine incarceration, the program aims to divert individuals
detained for misdemeanors and non-serious/non-violent felonies to
community support services in lieu of the filing of criminal
charges. We are developing an alternative system that attempts to
address some of the conditions that lead to incarceration such as
homelessness, mental health, addiction, lack of employment, and
opportunities. We hope to build a sustainable network of providers
in collaboration with law enforcement and district attorneys to
expand the capacity of the community to support those in need.
Under the direction of the Manager, the Administrative Data
Specialist of Alternatives to Incarceration will provide
administrative program support including working with Electronic
Health Records (EHR) and data records to reconcile and submit
monthly billing, recurring reporting needs for funder, and data
exchange between our internal EHR and funders systems. he right
person for this position is a problem solver, detail oriented,
experienced with billing, database maintenance, and EHR. This
person is innovative and will do what it takes to support the data
and information system for this program. Key Responsibilities Work
closely with Manager of ATI on data and administrative tasks for
the program. Administrative responsibilities include office support
with phones, filing, copy, and order office supplies. Support and
maintain efficient systems for data collection to ensure accuracy
of EHR, Access database, and/or Excel logs with program and client
information. Ensure necessary data is in place, collate data, and
submit regular outcome data reports to funder. Communicates with
ATI, EHR, and fiscal teams to troubleshoot reconciliation and data
errors. Ensure successful data exchange between our internal EHR
system and funders data system. Maintenance and organization of
billing invoices, payors, and fee schedules. Collaborate with ATI
subcontractors to collect monthly outcome data reports and billing.
Maintain expense reports, scan receipts, and keep originals on
file. Utilizes problem-solving skills to create more efficient,
stable systems for rectifying data. Maintains confidentiality
regarding clients and operations in accordance with HIPAA and 42
CFR Part 2. Comply with all agency---s policies, procedures, and
codes of ethics. Fill role of Health & Safety Representative
including monthly safety trainings, emergency drills, maintain
safety supplies, update emergency response plan, and attend safety
meetings. Work collaboratively with all level staff across all
Prototypes/Health Right 360 programs. Education and Knowledge,
Skills and Abilities Required: High School Diploma or GED, and some
college or AS/AA: Desired: BA/BS degree. Minimum of three (3)
years--- experience providing administrative and data support.
Skilled in organizing and maintaining accurate data/records. Strong
proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word,
PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook and internet applications. Required:
Live scan DOJ and FBI fingerprint clearance (Must not be on parole
or probation for a minimum of two years). Desired: Previous
non-profit behavioral agency experience or Knowledge of Los Angeles
County programs. Desired: Experience using an electronic health
record (EHR) system---preferably Welligent. Tag: IND100.
