JOIN THE CLEAN ENERGY REVOLUTION Southern California'sVegetation
Inspections & Operational Services (VIOS)Division is currently
looking for a Quality Review Engineer. The Engineer is a key member
of an enhanced inspection's program. A program which uses Aerial
and Ground Inspection techniques to assess structures that are in
High Fire Risk Areas as well as compliance based inspections. As a
Quality Review Engineer you will work with various groups within
and outside the Inspection program to ensure that structures,
apparatus, and equipment are being field inspected with a
qualitative assessment. This engineering position will use data
input resulting from Quality Reviews to provide technical awareness
to inspectors, engineering, and Inspections as a whole. You will
have the position responsibility of recognizing field issues and
collaborating with the responsible engineer for apparatus,
structural, and equipment trends. A day in the life - Get ready to

- This position will engage in technical assessment of
Distribution and Transmission Inspection survey question
additions/changes.
- This exciting position will apply tools like GR Viewer, SAP,
Inspect App, Inspect-Force (SalesForce product), Power BI,
Statistical Analysis Systems (SAS) to help in solving notification
and inspection results, using the technical background of the
engineering field in areas that to lead change.
- Application of problem solving techniques to assist
Distribution Gatekeeping with technical questions assessed in the
field to drive solutions.
- As a requirement of this position, field visits will be
conducted to understand the complexities of inspections,
collaborate with inspectors, as well as identify areas of
improvement. Any areas identified as needing improvement, will have
an expectation to be lead as well as followed through until
completed.
- As part of our guiding behaviors and the constant strive for
excellence. The engineer will be expected to build and present
awareness documents based on inspection survey responses,
referencing direction from SCE standards, California Power Line
Fire Prevention Field Guide, and other compliance/high fire risk
guidelines.
- Work with SME's (Engineering, Qualified Electrical Workers, UAS
Pilots, and Data Scientists) to drive technical insight and
solutions for inconsistencies seen in Inspection Survey's and
Distribution Gatekeeping.
- Analyze inspections data and engage field inspections personnel
to give feedback and technical support. Qualifications
The essentials
- Bachelor's in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- Two (2)or more of engineering experience in Transmission and/or
Distribution
- Experience with dashboards, business intelligence tools, and
visualization solutions
- Work well in a team environment and perform with minimal
direction The preferred
- Awareness of SCE Standards
- Experience working with teams of data scientists, business
analysts, Inspectors and information architects
- Industry/business knowledge in Electric Utility domain
- Data integration knowledge and skills
- Technical Skills
- Python, SAS, Power BI data skills
- Functional Skills - Keep up to date with SCE Standards
- PART 107 Qualified
- Constant drive to increase the Engineer's knowledge base with
Transmission / Distribution Apparatus, Equipment, and Structural

- This position's work mode ishybrid. The employee will report to
an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work
remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees
are required to reside in the state of California. Further details
