HIM Coding & Compliance Manager

Job Description:

This position is with a Hospital towards the Pomona, CA area. The role offers a hybrid remote/onsite schedule and requires 2-3 years of management as well as hands-on inpatient coding experience. There will be a coding assessment as part of the interview process.
Manager Coding and CompliancePosition summary:Provides management for the clinical coding, coding compliance, abstracting, documentation improvementprograms and billing management. Works closely with Director, HIM management, physicians, businessservices, RAC coordinator and care management to carry out the strategic direction and goals and objectivesfor the coding, coding compliance and documentation improvement programs. May perform other duties asassigned.
Qualifications:EDUCATION: High School or equivalent.CERTIFICATION: Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) or ICD-10 AHIMA Certified TrainerEXPERIENCE: Three years HIM management experience in a large health care facility and five years inpatient coding experience.
Preferred Qualifications:EDUCATION: Associates or Bachelors DegreeCERTIFICATION: Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) or Registered Health InformationAdministrator (RHIA)
