In this job, you will provide first line leadership to a team of hard-working Project Specialists who are responsible for providing project management support to help drive the successful completion of licensing and execution projects or programs across the organization, including large transmission, substation and 3rd Party/Customers. The Sr. Supervisor will be responsible for providing direction and leadership, developing and strengthening the team, and optimally prioritizing work and resources in a matrixed reporting environment.   • Planning and supervising day to day activities of the major projects Project Specialist team, ensuring completion of work assignments.
  • Ensuring adequate staffing for the project management function in a matrixed environment.
  • Interfacing effectively with direct reports to ensure accurate development and mentorship.
  • Conducting annual performance reviews and salary planning activities
  • Assisting in carrying out prioritized critical initiatives.
  • Identifying process improvement opportunities and implementing workforce solutions for the work group.
  • Ensuring the team has adequate training to successfully complete MPO's major infrastructure projects and programs.
  • Interfacing effectively with OU partners (Principal Managers and Project Managers) and external partners to ensure appropriate staff support and alignment with partner goals and achievements. Qualifications
    The essentials
    • Four years of experience supervising, leading cross-functional or matrixed teams, and/or performing in a project management or project support capacity.
    • Two years of project management or project support experience. The preferred
      • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent technical/financial discipline.
      • Project Management Certification.
      • Experience in a CA regulated utility or project environment, preferably involving the licensing or execution of capital projects.
      • Experience analyzing and solving problems, resource planning, managing performance and developing others.
      • Ability to identify and implement process improvements.
      • Strong partnership, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
      • Ability to lead and guide cross-functional teams, including all levels of management.
      • Experience with Organizational Change Management (OCM) or knowledge of OCM concepts. You should know ---
        • Work Mode: When a return-to-office date has been determined, this position's work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage.
