Description
Manage the admissions process efficiently to ensure a positive experience for residents, families, and supporting staff. Plan, direct, and monitor the daily operations of the Admissions Department to meet budgeted resident census goals and ensure residents are admitted professionally and efficiently.

• Admit patients to the healthcare facility by completing admission and financial responsibility forms, screening patients against admission criteria, and obtaining necessary medical and application information.
  
• Coordinate with the Director of Nursing and Case Manager to ensure the appropriateness of admissions and oversee bed assignments and preliminary paperwork.
  
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of facility services, educate referral sources, and foster relationships with physicians, social workers, and discharge planners to maximize referrals.
  
• Ensure all insurance benefit coverages meet standards of admission and confirm the accuracy of all documentation.
  
• Coordinate physical, social, emotional, and support services, including transportation, to meet residents' needs.
  
• Maintain confidentiality of all resident care information, including protected health information, and report any incidents of unauthorized disclosure.
  
• Participate in outreach events such as health fairs and educational programs to promote the facility.
  
• Attend daily stand-up meetings and stay updated on safety protocols, including Standard Precautions, Exposure Control Plan, and emergency procedures.
  
• Perform supervisory responsibilities and ensure staff adherence to policies and procedures.
  
  Qualifications:
  

• 
  
• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in healthcare or related field preferred.
  
• Two years' admissions experience preferred; LVN or RN license is a plus.
  
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and understanding of healthcare regulations.
  
  Physical Demands & Work Environment:
  Must occasionally lift/move up to 25 pounds, sit, stand, walk, and communicate effectively. Work is performed in a low to moderate noise environment, with reasonable accommodations available for disabilities.
