Advanced, Advanced Fetal Monitoring Must-Have: Vaginal exam
experience required. Experience with managing 2 patients. Ability
to perform assessments including station, effacement, and dilation.
Description: The Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse provides care
in an acute care setting. The nurse will be responsible for
managing laboring patients. Vaginal exam ability and experience
with newborn care are essential. The unit sees a high volume of
births, managing between 400-450 deliveries. The nurse will work in
a varied team environment with interdisciplinary support available.
Weekend requirements involve working 2 weekends every 6 weeks, with
night shifts potentially including Fridays. The nurse will work
with electronic fetal monitoring systems and assess fetal heart
rate patterns. Responsibilities include administering medications
and therapies, discharge teaching, as well as performing necessary
assessments for both mothers and infants. Previous charge
experience is valued. The candidate must demonstrate comprehensive
knowledge of neonatal resuscitation and postpartum care.
