Leaps & Bounds Pediatric Therapy is a multidisciplinary outpatient
private practice in need of a licensed Certified Occupational
Therapist. We are a growing and fast-paced campus that offers
Physical, Occupational, and Speech therapy services in a
traditional clinical setting, as well as on our ranch, with the
incorporation of the horse as part of a comprehensive
evidence-based plan (hippotherapy.) At Leaps & Bounds, the family

Therapist-Pediatric Job Duties: An Occupational Therapist-Pediatric
delivers excellent family-centered patient care, that aims to
support functional goals and needs of the patient and their family.
Occupational Therapists perform assessments and interpretation of
evaluations and test results; determining occupational therapy
treatment plans in consultation with physicians or by prescription
and carrying out a treatment plan that supports functional
improvement across the lifespan. Provide quality care by assessing
and interpreting evaluations and test results; determining
occupational therapy treatment plans in consultation with
physicians or by prescription. Help patient accomplish goals
outlined in treatment plan and effective use of therapeutic devices
by administering manual exercises; instructing, encouraging, and
assisting patients in performing physical activities, such as
functional skills, sensory activities, and daily-living activities.
Administer occupational therapy treatment; and directing treatments
given by aides, technicians, and assistants. Complete discharge
planning by consulting with physicians, nurses, social workers, and
other health care workers; contributing to patient care
conferences. Assure continuation of therapeutic plan following
discharge by designing home exercise programs; instructing
patients, families, and caregivers in home exercise programs;
recommending and/or providing assistive equipment; recommending
outpatient or home health follow-up programs. Document patient care
services by charting in patient and department records, according
to the law. Maintain patient confidence and protects clinic
operations by keeping information confidential, according to the
law. Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with
procedures, rules, and regulations. Protect patients and employees
by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols. Ensure
operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance
requirements; following manufacturer's instructions;
troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs. Maintain
professional and technical knowledge by attending educational
workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing
personal networks; participating in professional societies. Develop
occupational therapy staff by providing information; developing and
conducting in-service training programs. Comply with federal,
state, and local legal and professional requirements by studying
existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation;
enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed
actions. Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results
as needed. Participate effectively as a member of the IEP team, but
providing these services as part of a comprehensive education plan
and in accordance with the written IEP. The compensation range
varies based on experience: $83,200 - $104,000 This position
