Partner with hiring managers to understand program needs to develop recruitment strategies for filling vacancies and training strategies for employee growth. In conjunction with campus leaders and utilizing best practices develop a performance management system that is meaningful for the employees and managers. Develop succession planning reviews in conjunction with the performance management systems. Support strategic goals while increasing employee engagement and retention.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Ability to manage a team

• Management development theories and techniques

• Experience developing social media campaigns and strategies

• Understanding of diversity and inclusion and knowledge of programs to build and retain a diverse workforce

Required Qualifications

• BA/BS in Business Administration, Human Resources or a related field

• 8 + years of progressive experience within Human Resources

• 3 + years HR supervisory experience

• Able to operate at a strategic level with senior executives

• Strong leadership and project management skills

• Knowledge of and practical application of high-performance team creation and maintenance a plus

• Comprehensive understanding of regulations relating to HR, EEO /AA, FMLA , ADA , etc.

• Able to achieve results in a team-oriented and highly collaborative environment

• Technologically savvy and eager to streamline internal HR and ATS processes and implementation

Job Duty

Partner with hiring manger, recruitment team and HR leadership to support attraction, hiring and retention of talent for key/critical roles. Conduct annual diversity audit and strategies to improve diversity. Evaluate diversity hiring metrics on a quarterly basis. Develop exit interview process, metrics and analysis to aide in the retention of top talent. Develop and manage strategic recruitment and training programs to meet workforce planning goals. Help develop long-term strategy for employee engagement and retention

Develop and implement a talent management strategy. Partner with the talent management team to manage succession, slates, and readiness for roles within the organization. Lead and partner with university leaders to identify needs and create talent and leadership development strategies aligned to our integrated talent management strategy. Lead and partner and HR and senior leaders to diagnose, develop and deliver training programs and/or interventions that help build exceptional talent. Lead execution of talent management and leadership development activities in the areas/departments specifically focusing on candidate readiness. Establish consistent talent planning strategy and approach for the division/function partnering with administrative, faculty and HR leaders to identify critical positions and critical talent.

Proactively identify, track and recommend talent to fill key vacancies and support long-term growth strategies using systems and tools. Champion top talent and guide individual development plans to maximize experience, skill, and readiness for next role. Implement and drive regular opportunities for networking and sharing resources within and across departments/groups to leverage talent management alignment and resources. Drive and actively participate and contribute in talent brainstorming, initiative development, and implementation to help develop long-term talent management and capability building at the University.
