Become a Senior Manager of Land Management at Southern

responsible for developing strategies, initiatives and set
direction for work activities within five Land Management
subgroups. This position will report directly to a Principal
Manager who oversees Land Management, Land Acquisitions and Title &
Real Estate Services organization. As a Senior Manager of Land

Develops overall strategic plan and direction for Land
Management organizational capabilities; manages the implementation
of the plan over time; works closely with peers, the Principal
Manager, executive leadership, key management clients, and end
users to assure alignment of strategy, deliverables and
Carryout land use stewardship and oversee operations in the
areas of; property management, relocation of facilities, granting
of rights to 3 rd parties, consent to 3 rd party uses of rights of
way, railroad crossing permits, clearing of encroachments.
Engage with various private and public entities and governmental
agencies on land use and/or land right matters involving company
right of way assets.
Works with Land Management leadership team to manage
productivity, quality and financial performance; exercises control
of budgets through management of workload, the timely and efficient
delivery of a variety of critical deliverables; aligns cost,
timeliness, and productivity expectations with key clients;
initiates, implements, and monitors metrics and measures to assure
optimal throughput, quality, cost controls, customer satisfaction,
and improved performance.
Provides oversight of Land Management governance; ensures
processes and controls are in place so that deliverables are in
compliance with internal and external policies, procedures,
including all applicable laws, regulations and industry
Keeps up to date on Right of Way and real estate best practices
through industry forums, benchmarking, industry metrics, industry
organizations and vendors to aid in the development of Land
Directly supervises Land Management leadership team; conducts
employee performance reviews, provides coaching/feedback, resolves
employee disputes, makes hiring and disciplinary actions decisions
for direct reports and manages and guides processes for indirect
reports. Creates and maintains a safety conscious work environment
by leading and influencing others to follow Edison safety protocols
and safe work practices and perform other responsibilities and
duties as assigned.
Qualifications The essentials
Five or more years of experience in managing, supervising or
leading an organization, unit, or team.
Seven or more year’s work e xperience interfacing and working
with governmental agencies.
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business or related technical
field; or an equivalent combination of education, training and
Experience representing a development company.
Experience executing public administration projects and or real
Experience in real estate or right of way.
10 or more years combined experience leading high profile,
multi-discipline, project/programs, providing team leadership,
and/or strategic direction on the implementation of key corporate
