Description: The Organization San Gabriel/Pomona Regional Center
(SG/PRC) is a private, non-profit agency that is contracted with
the State of California, Department of Developmental Services (DDS)
to provide services and supports to individuals with intellectual
and developmental disabilities. We proudly serve 30 cities across
the Foothill, Pomona, and El Monte Health District within Los
Angeles County. Our services span the full lifespan from infants
and toddlers, school-age children, and transition-age youth to

families we serve. The Position Under the general direction of the
Manager of Behavioral Services, the Board-Certified Behavior
Analyst (BCBA) is responsible for monitoring the behavioral
intervention/treatment services for Individuals Served that reside
in Enhanced Behavioral Homes (EBSH) and Community Crisis Homes,
(CCH). The BCBA serges in this capacity as the assigned Qualified
Behavioral Management Professional (QBMP). The BCBA reviews
provider assessments and plans to ensure clinical, regulatory and
HCBS final Rule alignment and provides recommendations to support
services authorization and outcomes. Responsibilities include
observational visits, interdisciplinary collaboration, and
consultative guidance to promote person centered, rights-based
behavioral supports. Requirements: Essential Job Functions * Review
the implementation of the individualized behavioral service plan
(IBSP) and ensure the IBSP meets EBSH/CCH requirements. *
Collaborate with Regional Center and facility staff in meetings and
debriefs required to ensure IBSP objectives are met, including
health and safety outcomes. * Conduct monthly monitoring visits
(QBMP) to Individuals Served in EBSH residential settings to ensure
adherence to the IBSP progress toward stated behavioral goals. *
Provide detailed completion of monthly reporting following each
monthly visit to the individual or as needed. * Review referrals
for behavioral intervention assessments and services, including
ongoing behavioral progress reports for individuals served in other
settings, to ensure the appropriateness of services. * Provide
clinical expertise and consultation on behavioral health
treatments. * Conduct situational, needs, and/or functional
assessments. * Utilize evidence-based direct or indirect assessment
tools to measure independence, skills, behavior motivators, etc. *
Provide information and guidance, as needed, during
Interdisciplinary Team meetings regarding behavioral interventions.
* Review and provide clinical feedback on behavioral plans prior to
and after the implementation of the treatment plan. * Disseminate
information to SG/PRC Staff, Community, and Vendor providers
regarding clinical principles and evidence-based practices for
behavioral health treatments. * Work with regional center staff and
service providers to ensure appropriate evidence-based quality
services. * Participates in team conferences and reviews
assessments and intervention plans completed by other
providers/agencies. * Provision of resources and referral
information to individuals and/or their representatives when
appropriate. * May provide training, feedback, and clinical
consultation at the individual's residence and or Day Program.
Employment Standards * Master's degree in psychology, Special
Education, or related field to behavioral analysis. * Board
Certification in Behavioral Analysis. * 2 years' experience in
providing behavioral management services with individuals with
developmental disabilities. * Experience working in and developing
ABA programs for individuals of all ages residing at home, licensed
residential care, school, and community-based settings. *
Experience implementing ABA-based treatment programs. * Experience
working with individuals with developmental disabilities and
complex behavioral needs of high magnitude, which include but are
not limited to self-injurious behaviors, physical aggression, and
property destruction. Knowledge and Abilities * Demonstrate
excellent working knowledge of applied behavior analysis,
particularly for individuals with developmental disabilities. *
Understand human growth development and be an accurate observer of
behavior in adults and children. * Ability to support individuals
with complex service needs. * Knowledgeable of co-occurring chronic
medical, behavioral and/or psychiatric conditions, as well as
forensic/judicial involvement. * Knowledgeable in both California
and federal statutory and regulatory laws pertaining to the
provision of services and support for and the safeguarding of
individual rights of individuals with developmental disabilities. *
Experience in comprehensive services to individuals with
developmental disabilities who have a forensic background,
particularly those charged with felony offenses. * Strong critical
thinking skills. * Knowledge of psychotropic medication. *
Demonstrate excellent written and communication skills and the
ability to explain complex information to a wide audience in clear
and concise terms. * Demonstrate sensitivity to individual's
concerns and needs. * Demonstrate respect and cultural awareness. *
Ability to operate basic office equipment, including scanners,
copiers, faxes, phones. * Ability to analyze complex issues and
recommend effective, person-centered solutions. * Strong teamwork
and collaborative skills. Other Essential Requirements Employees
using a private vehicle for agency purposes must maintain a valid
driver's license and minimum liability insurance coverage. Physical
Demands & Work Environment * 65% of sedentary work is performed in
an office environment. * 20% light walking field based
(Observations, QBMP reviews, Meetings) * 15% Driving to and from
field-based responsibilities. * Clear verbal communication in
person and by phone. * Occasional lifting, pushing, or pulling of
items up to 50 pounds. * Adequate visual acuity to read documents,
use a computer monitor for prolonged periods, and review detailed
information. * Work occurs in a typical office setting with
standard lighting, temperature, and moderate noise levels. *
